Nico's House!

Okay everyone! I have so so so much to write about! Two Sundays ago, I went to Nico's house for the day. This post will be about that. I was writing this post out, an hour before it was time to leave for my greatly anticipated Bariloche trip. I put my camera's memory card into my camera and a message came on to say that there was no memory card. So... it died. I didn't lose any picture though, so that's lucky. But I was an hour away from leaving for a week long trip without a functioning camera... So I stopped writing and went to solve it. After a quick chat with my Michael guy, I found out it was unfix-able. On the way to the school, we ran into a store and bought a new one.

Anyways. On to the post. Long posts about my incredible trip to Bariloche to come! :) Stay tuned!

Sunday was SUCH a fabulous day. Earlier in the week, Nico and Fernanda invited me to a party at Nico's house. I wasn't sure at first if I'd be able to go, but I'm so glad I was able to! I enjoyed every second!

Francisco, Fernanda, Toledo, Felipe, and I met up outside the school. Then we walked to "the terminal" or the place where all the buses (micros!) leave from. There, we met Pablo and we got on a bus to Sagrada Familia! It was a 50 minute ride..  And when I switch famliies, I'll have to take a bus for around 30 minutes to Romeral. I'm definitely not looking forward to that... But anyways. We missed the spot we were supposed to get off at, and so we ended up yelling to the bus driver to stop and getting off and walking a bit to backtrack. Then Nico came and gave us a ride to his house! Sagrada Familia is "en el campo". Nico has so much space! I don't even know how to explain it. He has his house, which is a normal size, and then a big open field of nice grass (pasta!-- no not like spaghetti. However that'd be pretty fantastic too). And past that, there is a patronal house (casa patronal!). As far as I understand... it's a house of a rich person, who doesn't live there a lot. And the other family, in this case Nico's, takes care of the house while they are away. And then he has a pool too (which didn't have water in it yet). And he has chickens, bunnies (!!!), a bunch of types of birds in cages. And the best of all; PEACOCKS (pavos reales!)! He has 4 or 5 of them. So awesome. And they just wander around the yard and sit on the roof.

Plus he has dogs and cats.

Now, on to what we did!

We got there at 11, met his mom and older sister, went to see the animals in the cages, then Rodrigo came, and then we all took a walk to a lake nearby. It was really hot and so we soon headed back to the house. We had some pop and ate some American candy I brought! Twizzlers, Pop Rocks, and some blow pop sucker candies. They thought the Twizzlers were a little bland (which they are...) and loved the candies and Pop Rocks.

After that, we went and took some pictures, talked, laughed, and sat around.

We eventually went in to eat and we had TACOS! Mmmmm. And man, they were good! We ate them with a lot more stuff than we eat them with in the U.S.. Avacados, cheese, corn, ham, ground beef, tomatoes, and mayonnaise.

Fernanda and Felipe getting things ready!
Yep... this one didn't quite close... but it was pretty darn delicious.
I really hope I don't always look like this when I laugh, because I laugh a LOT.
Everyone loves a good taco selfie.

Action shot! Hahahaha.

I love these people. <3 Toledo, Francisco, Felipe, Pablo, Fernanda, and Rodrigo.

It was pretty hot that day, and so sometime after lunch, I borrowed some clothes from Nico's sister and we had a water fight!! We filled up old pop bottles and chased people down. It was soooo refreshing.
