Sushi Post!

Well I know I just blogged yesterday, but I just want to get this written about before the weekend. This weekend I'm going to a Rotary activity. It's not a conference with the whole district. It's just something a few clubs got invited to help at. As far as I understand, we're going to a foster home and helping. So I think that'll be a really cool experience.

Anyways. On to yesterday.

On the Bariloche trip, Sofia and I had talked about that we both like sushi and that we should go out some time. And so a few days ago, we finally found a day. We planned to meet at 6 in front of the school.

I left my house at 5:30 because I always end up waiting for a colectivo for a long time. But just as I got to the place where I wait, one came. So I ended up waiting at the school for 20 minutes. haha. But it was okay. I listened to some music and waited. Sofia came and we walked a couple blocks to buy something for her brother's baptism.

We walked and talked and it was so nice. I feel pretty good that I can have a decent conversation now. When I'm in the house and my parents are working and my brothers are playing video games, I don't have anyone to talk to. And I haven't felt like my Spanish has been improving, but it's moments like this when I realize that I am improving. In the house I talk to my mom a lot, but I never feel that great about it. But when I can have a conversation with someone on the street or at church or with friends, then I feel good.

Woah. Anyways. Back to the day. We took a colectivo to the sushi place! Sofia is friends with the people that work there and she goes there a lot. We were the only ones in there and we talked with the guys and watched them make it. I ordered a roll with avacado, salmon, shrimp, and cream cheese wrapped in avacado. And Sofia got shrimp, crab, cream cheese with a tempura coating. They were soooooo good. mmmm. We'll definitely be going back.
 Sofia and I!
If you look closely in the last picture, you'll notice a red mark on my arm. The other day I got bit in my sleep by a little mosquito-type bug. I can't remember the name at the moment.. But they're common. So now my arm is a little swelled and it's infected. Aghh. So here goes the same thing as with my finger.

After we finished, we took a colectivo to the mall and bought one more thing for her brother. Then we walked to the plaza to sit and talk for a bit. At 9, I took a colectivo home. It was a good day!

OOOhhh in other exciting news, the other night my mom came home with two pairs of comfy pants for me and a dress! In fact, I'm wearing the pants as I'm typing this:
You might think they look ridiculous, but you don't know how comfortable they are. haha.

Not much on the agenda today. I just ate lunch at my grandma's house. And then this afternoon I'll pack for the weekend and maybe play some keyboard. Oh how I miss a real piano... Well this is it for now.

  2. Says you. She looks German. And speaks with a German accent. And her name is German. She's named after Sophia, the Princess of Prussia, who was born in Potsdam, Prussia, daughter of Crown Prince Frederick of Prussia, and who later became the German Emperor. Ask Carolin. She'll tell you. I'm your father. End of discussion.
